Logistics Associate Location: Goleta, CA Job ID: #70253 Pay Range: $20-25 What is the primary mission of this role? As a Logistics Associate you will support the Goleta, CA logistics team and perform key Logistics processes. You will be required to work independently and provide high quality work while maintaining efficiency and accuracy. You also will be required to adhere to all safety standards, wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment while performing specific tasks, and follow all department rules and regulations. You will be receptive to teamwork, collaboration, and communication as these are key attributes to your success. What are the main functions of this role? The ideal candidate will ensure timely, accurate, and compliant shipment of parts, components, subcomponents, and related materials. Generate and prepare shipping documentation in compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) standards, ensuring all required forms, labels, and certifications are accurately completed and submitted. This includes adhering to military packaging, labeling, and shipping requirements, as well as ensuring the correct classification, hazardous material documentation, and compliance with Defense Transportation Regulation (DTR) and applicable DoD regulations for each shipment. Required Skill Sets: Understanding of logistics processes, warehouse management, and shipping procedures. Ability to follow safety guidelines, and warehouse management system experience (SAP preferred). Desired Skill Sets: Excellent verbal and written communication, Excellent organizational and time management skills, Ability to work in a fast-paced demanding environment where multi-tasking is required. Experience with UPS/FEDEX online software is highly desirable. Familiarity with proper packaging methods in line with industry specifications. Previous Hazmat training or certification is a plus. Years of Experience Required (if any): 5 years of experience in warehouse shipping and receiving, preferably in defense, aerospace, or manufacturing environments. Education Level Required: High School Diploma required; associate degree Preferred. How will the contractor’s success be measured?
