Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in the manufacturing industry based in Hayward, California, United States. This role primarily revolves around maintaining accurate customer records, processing customer applications, and resolving customer inquiries. In addition, the job entails monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate action when necessary.Responsibilities: Ensure the timely and precise processing of accounts payable, including receiving, verifying, and posting accounts payable invoices into the accounting system. Review, audit, and process employee expense reimbursements while verifying the accuracy of expenses and adherence to company policies. Prepare and dispatch accounts payable checks. Interact with relevant departments to secure proper payment approvals. Perform data entry tasks and maintain accounts payable ledger, files, and records. Identify and recommend process improvements. Respond to vendor and employee inquiries regarding invoices, expenses, payments, and check requests; assist with discrepancy reconciliation. Reconcile vendor statements and prepare invoice deduction notices as required. Prepare and print accounts payable reports; review and reconcile periodic reports to maintain current reconciliation status for various vendor and general ledger accounts. Assist with monthly closings, journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and bank statement reconciliation. Engage in related special projects as needed.
