For more information, visit www.hormelfoods.com and http://csr.hormelfoods.com/ .RESPONSIBILITIES:As a self-starter, the Brand Manager II / Senior Brand Manager is a highly seasoned position that has demonstrated success in areas of brand strategy, brand management, and innovation. A typical incumbent would be comfortable making recommendations to drive and redirect the business. This position will manage one Brand Manager.

Business planning, P&L management, and business initiative execution: Develops and executes the annual operating plan (AOP) financial targets while establishing brand/business objectives, strategies, and tactics to attain AOP. Achieves volume, net revenue, gross profit margin, and marketing mix targets.

Brand Equity Management: Leads the brand team in the management of brand equity development and consumer engagement strategies and tactics to achieve consumer and business objectives. Works with agency partners to create annual consumer media, promotion, and public relations plans.

Innovation: Assists with development of a 3-year pipeline, identifying new product and line extension opportunities by analyzing consumer trends, determining specific market needs and potential, and building a business case, including driving the launch of initiatives with retail sales.

Channel Development: Develops channel strategy, assist addressing customer category/brand opportunities and challenges, and works with category management on strategic selling. Monitors marketplace dynamics and implements corrective action when and where necessary.

Portfolio Management: Leads operations, logistics, forecasting, and purchasing departments to management of the portfolio. Leads and manages indirect cross-functional team members to accomplish projects that support brand initiatives and business needs.

Project Management: Successfully plans, develops, and leads cross-functional teams through required project deliverables, especially pertaining to commercialization of new products.

Level of position will be determined based on experience and skillset.QUALIFICATIONS:Required

Bachelor’s degree and 4 - 8 years of marketing, marketing related, or sales experience OR MBA and 3 - 5 years of marketing, marketing related, or sales experience.

Competitive base salary plus bonus, annual merit increase performance reviews, medical, dental, vision, non-contributory pension, profit sharing, 401(k), stock purchase plan, relocation assistance, paid vacation.The base pay range is $99,000 to $172,000 per year; however, actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location.
