Applied Behavior Technician Position

Do you have a calling to work with individuals with Autism, developmental disabilities or behavioral challenges?

A local behavioral agency, ABA Humboldt, is seeking ABA Technicians with experience in ABA therapy to work with client's in our ABA Clinic in McKinleyville, in client's homes, in the community, in after school programs and preschools, select schools and online.

Applicants who can work in Fortuna, Scotia and Rio Dell will get prioritized in hiring so applicants who live in those areas are encouraged to apply.

Applicants who want the opportunity to work in schools providing behavioral support are encouraged to apply and will be prioritized in hiring.

RBT certified technicians are preferred, and if not certified be willing to become certified within 90 days of hire date.

RBT Training will be offered online as paid time at a training rate, and any costs related to taking the RBT Exam are covered by ABA Humboldt.

A bachelors in special education, ABA, psychology or education is required, and starting pay for those qualified is 22.00 per hour. If you are already RBT Certified starting pay is 25.00.

Once you become RBT certified and if employed with ABA Humboldt for at least 6 months you qualify for the RBT rate of 25.00 an hour.

Spanish Speakers are encouraged to apply and may be qualified for a higher pay rate depending on experience and education.

BCBA candidates are encouraged to apply as this would be paid experience to use for supervision hours with a pay increase if you qualify for the ABA Supervisor position.

Ideal Applicants must-

have experience working with individuals with special needs

have afternoon availability from 1pm-7:30pm on weekdays

have morning availability from 9am-3pm on weekdays

be able to work independently

have excellent time management skills

have reliable transportation and be willing to commute from as south as Scotia to as North as Mckinleyville

be extremely responsive in communicating with supervisors

have basic computer skills

have a desire to improve the skills and quality of life for our clients

be compassionate, honest and respectful

be able to work well with other professionals, family members and ABA Humboldt supervisors and coworkers

be able to lift 50 lbs, stand on feet, and walk quickly
