Just a stone’s throw from the Mad River, our welcoming and pet-friendly beer-garden is where locals gather for live music, community events, workshops, and sunshine to pair with tried-and-true flagship beers like Steelhead Extra Pale Ale and Jamaica Red Ale, as well as small-batch fan-favorites and interesting seasonal varietals throughout the year.
Position Summary:
The Taproom Assistant Manager works closely with the Taproom Manager to ensure smooth operation of the taproom in all aspects. Focusing on the employees and internal operations, the Taproom Assistant Manager will be responsible for staff scheduling, discipline, and ensuring that beer tenders uphold all Company standards and policies. Additionally, the Taproom Assistant Manager will serve as a direct liaison to Low & Slow BBQ and ensure any necessary information is communicated to Upper Management. Ideal candidates with possess the following experience and skills:
Proficiency in taproom operations and POS software
Experience leading and guiding of regular staff duties, such as cash handling procedures, opening and closing responsibilities, Dress Code, and employee code of conduct
Excellent communication and organization
Experience in staff scheduling and forecasting
Quality Assurance/Quality Control
Safety
Vendor Relations
Inventory Management
Customer Service/ Customer Satisfaction

To succeed in this role, the Assistant Taproom Manager should be observant and have the ability to think critically and efficiently. The Assistant Taproom Manager should be skilled communicators with excellent problem-solving, interpersonal skills, and a desire to develop our unique vision at Mad River Brewery. Must have food handler's certification as well as RBS Certification or be willing to obtain immediately. Wage is $17-$18 DOE + Tips. Part-time to begin and train, expansion to full-time after.
