About us:

Humboldt Bay Social Club is an expanding hospitality and cannabis business. Boutique hotel, vacation rental, bar and restaurant destination in Samoa, CA. Recently purchased 50 room hotel, Scotia Lodge: Main & Mill Restaurant, and 2 bars now open.

About the Job:

We are looking for a Part Time Cook, that is organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented at the Scotia Lodge. Food service experience a plus, but willing to teach a motivated quick learning individual, with a general love of food.

This is a part time position, 10-15 hours per week. A flexible schedule is a must and be willing to work weekends.

You must have your own transportation and cell phone and be able to receive and send texts and emails. You will be expected to walk up and down stairs, carry boxes and lift up to 50 pounds.

Primary Responsibilities:

Follow written instructions for preparing, cutting, chopping, portioning, and mixing sauces/entrees.

Cook food items by deep frying, griddle, and baking.

Maintain kitchen cleanliness and comply with food sanitation requirements.

Stock items and log kitchen inventory.

Qualifications:

Prior cooking experience. Preferably in a high paced environment.

Must be able to work as part of a kitchen team at a high pace.

Food handling safety knowledge. Must be certified in food safe within 30 days.

General food skills including: knife skills and food equipment operation knowledge (deep fryer, processor, slicer, mandolin, etc.)

Ability to accurately follow recipes and adjust flavors as needed.

$15/hr to start. Plus tips split evenly between front and back of house.
