We are seeking enthusiastic and energetic individuals to join our team as Youth Camp & Group Instructors. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a positive and engaging camp experience for our young participants. You will lead a variety of activities, including swimming instruction, games, crafts, and more.

Qualifications:
- Current CPR (adult/infant/child) and First Aid certification.
- Enthusiastic, assertive, dependable, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to communicate at a child’s level
- Ability to communicate effectively with both children and adults.
- Preferred experience with youth Tandem/Groups
- Thorough knowledge and application of teaching swimming and water safety skills
- Strong problem solving and organization skills
- Organized and detail oriented
- Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and clean/neat appearance
- Must possess a high level of creativity and a customer service mindset
- Ability to ensure Safety Rules and Recommendations are followed.
- Ability to multitask and monitor multiple activities simultaneously.
- Ability to maintain a safe, clean working environment.
- Ability to work flexible hours as required including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Reports to: Pool Programs Coordinator (Arcata) & Assistant Site Manager (Eureka)
Position Status: Non-Exempt / Seasonal / Part-Time (Schedule may include weekends, evenings and holidays)
Essential Job Functions:
- Arrive on time for scheduled shifts and clock in/out as scheduled.
- Create a fun, safe, motivating, and enjoyable environment.
- Enforce pool safety standards and facility operational rules for all individuals using the facilities.
- Help with the action of the camp: i.e. decorating, running games, swim instruction.
- Communicate in a professional, respectful manner with all staff, members, children, and guests.
- Maintain a neat/clean appearance and good personal hygiene.
- Communicate and coordinate with your supervisor regarding ideas, problems, concerns, questions, availability, and time off requests.
- Assisting with special events as assigned by your supervisor.
- Attend department meetings as scheduled.
