Job Title: Machine OperatorJob Description
A machine operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining machinery used in the manufacturing process. Machine operators will work on an individual and team basis.
Machine operators will deliver consistent work and report accurate information on a timely basis.
To be successful in this position, the individual must be able to produce timely and high-quality output within the company quality and production run standards. Individuals must display a standard level of productivity and quality output and be committed to continuous improvement.
Prepare machinery for operation by performing routine maintenance tasks and conducting safety checks to ensure that the equipment is in good working condition. Set up and operate production machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
Monitor machines during operation to ensure that they are producing products that meet quality standards. Conduct regular in-process inspections to ensure quality control standards.
Troubleshoot equipment and make necessary adjustments to fix any issues that arise during the production process. Record data such as production numbers, machine settings, and product quality data.
Consistently meet production requirements.
Continuously work in a safe manner and maintain a safe and clean work area. Follow company rules and comply with cross-training and other training requirements.
