Job Description:
The Operations Manager/Dispatcher is responsible for scheduling construction projects, processing material submittals, managing the safety program, daily communication with the Superintendent, tracking and managing equipment, procuring materials, etc.
Employment Status:
Full-time, in office
Essential Functions:
Review and assess construction projects to make sure material submittals are approved, ensure we are on track to meet project deadlines, maintain current plans, secure required materials needed on the job, scheduling, and ordering concrete. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of construction safety regulatory requirements. Assist in managing risk control, ensuring employees have current safety certificates and maintain a safety program.
Essentially, you are the right hand and main support for the Superintendent. You will be required to work collaboratively and independently to ensure our projects move on schedule as efficiently as possible. You will provide daily communication and feedback to the Superintendent and field crew. Your aim is to cultivate a positive work environment.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college is preferred
A minimum of 2 years of experience in Operations Management and/or Dispatch
Proficient/intermediate knowledge in Windows, Excel, Outlook, Word, Adobe Acrobat
Ability to process computer data and to format and generate reports.
Have strong communication, organization, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
Sensitivity to and understanding of multi-cultural, diverse environments and individuals from diverse socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds.
Work Environment:
Standard office setting.
Subject to contact with others, frequent interruptions, noise from talking or office equipment and demanding timelines.
Occasional jobsite visits
