The Opioid Use Disorder Care Engagement Study, led by Dr. Sean D. Young, PhD, is a study from the Departments of Emergency Medicine and Informatics at the University of California, Irvine. We are asking for your participation in this research study to help us test our recruitment strategies. The results of the research may benefit society by potentially leading to better recruitment methods for public health studies and better targeting of public health communications.
The research procedure involves the following:
Eligibility: Over 18 years old, addicted/dependent/struggling with opioids. Cannot be taking methadone, buprenorphine or naltrexone.
Download our app, complete a baseline survey, and leave the app consistently on in the background for one month. The app is compatible for both iPhone and Android. After completion, users will be notified that the study is over and they can delete the app from their phone.
Participant Compensation: $40 (Must have two continuous weeks of tracking to receive compensation)
