Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Chef to join our culinary team. The Assistant Chef will support the Head Chef in kitchen operations, food preparation, and staff supervision.
Duties:
- Assist the Head Chef in preparing high-quality dishes following established recipes and portion sizes.
- Oversee kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Help maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items or specials.
- Supervise food preparation, cooking, and presentation processes.
- Manage inventory.
Requirements:
- Proven experience working as a cook or in a similar role in a restaurant or kitchen setting.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team.
- Knowledge of culinary techniques, food management, and kitchen operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively with staff.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Prior experience in supervising kitchen operations is preferred.
