Precise is hiring a Food manufacture Sr QA in Mira Loma.

3RD SHIFT Sunday-Thursday 11pm to 7:30am.

The Sr. QA Lead is responsible for overseeing the quality assurance process within the bakery production environment. The role involves ensuring that products meet the highest standards of quality and safety, in compliance with food safety regulations and internal protocols. This position requires meticulous attention to detail and effective team management in a fast-paced production facility.

Essential Duties:

1. Monitor and maintain the bakery’s quality assurance programs, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP, GMP).

2. Conduct regular inspections of the production floor to ensure adherence to cleanliness, safety, and quality standards.

3. Develop, implement, and revise QA processes to improve product quality and efficiency.

4. Supervise and train QA staff on testing procedures, documentation, and compliance standards.

5. Ensure all products meet required specifications through visual inspection, product testing, and sensory evaluation.

6. Coordinate with production teams to resolve any quality issues and prevent future occurrences.

7. Monitor and track quality metrics, analyzing data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

8. Manage the documentation of quality assurance activities, including test results, audit reports, and corrective action plans.

9. Liaise with suppliers to ensure raw materials meet the company's quality standards.

10. Conduct internal audits and assist with external regulatory audits, preparing all necessary documentation.

11. Implement corrective actions to address non-conformances and follow up to ensure the resolution of issues.

12. Ensure proper labeling and packaging of finished products to maintain consistency and regulatory compliance.

13. Collaborate with R&D to provide input on new products, ensuring quality is maintained from development through production.

14. Maintain a secure, organized system for storing QA records and samples for future reference and audits.

15. Serve as the point of contact for customer complaints related to product quality, ensuring timely investigation and resolution.

Secondary Duties:

1. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and projects aimed at optimizing product quality and production efficiency.

2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new quality control measures.

Education, Experience, and Skills Required:

1. High school diploma required, bachelor’s degree in food science, microbiology, or a related field preferred.

2. Minimum 5 years of experience in a quality assurance role, preferably in a bakery or food production environment.

3. Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations (HACCP, GMP, etc.).

4. Experience with QA processes, including inspections, product testing, and compliance documentation.

5. Leadership and team management skills, with experience supervising quality assurance personnel.

6. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate record-keeping and documentation.

7. Problem-solving skills to identify and resolve quality issues promptly.

8. Strong verbal and written communication skills for effectively working with teams and management.

9. Proficiency in QA software and data management systems.

10. Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-driven environment while maintaining a focus on quality.
