Responsibilities:
Maintain product quality by analyzing manufacturing and engineering requirements and devising testing methods and procedures.
Establish product quality documentation by writing and implementing quality assurance procedures.
Interact with leadership, production teams, and maintenance departments to improve plant output, efficiency, quality, and safety.
Manage Quality Control Program to ensure products meet safety and quality standards.
Maintain internal quality targets and measurements.
Ensure production areas meet strict GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards.
Support training of quality procedures throughout the plant.
Communicate with production teams regarding productivity status and discrepancies.
Perform additional duties assigned by Executive Management to support the department.
Ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and overall organization of manufacturing areas.
Requirements:
2–3 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment.
Strong teamwork skills and self-motivated.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
Knowledge of OSHA laws and regulations.
Ability to taste all foods without allergies or aversions.
Excellent attendance and safety record.
Availability to work weekends and mandatory overtime.
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
Must meet physical demands as outlined below.
Education:
High school diploma or GED required.
2–3 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Food Safety & Quality Responsibilities:
Adhere to all Food Safety/Quality SOPs.
Complete required Food Safety & Quality records accurately.
Communicate any Food Safety or Quality issues to the QA Manager and Department Manager.
Attend all Food Safety and Quality training sessions.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, employees must:
Stand for long periods.
Frequently lift materials to 50 pounds.
Perform frequent twisting, turning, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
Use hands to handle objects and controls.
Reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch.
Work in cold environments at times (-20°F).
Be flexible with schedules supporting a 24-hour production facility, including weekends.
