Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of heavy equipment to facilitate the efficient movement of materials and products within the warehouse. This role requires a strong understanding of safety protocols and mechanical knowledge to ensure safe and effective operations.
Duties
Operate forklifts, including lift trucks, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks, to transport materials throughout the warehouse.
Load and unload products from delivery vehicles and storage areas.
Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Follow OSHA regulations and company safety policies to maintain a safe working environment.
Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to coordinate material handling tasks and optimize workflow.
Assist in inventory management by accurately picking orders and organizing stock.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area to promote efficiency.
Requirements
Must be able to pass E-Verify
Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly in a warehouse setting.
Familiarity with materials handling techniques and best practices.
Knowledge of OSHA standards related to forklift operation and warehouse safety.
Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues as they arise.
Ability to operate various types of forklifts, including order pickers.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork within the warehouse environment.
