DescriptionAssociate Coder- Joseph Health System Home Care Services- Irvine, CASchedule: Monday- FridayJob description:Scope of work includes reviewing and coding diagnoses in the electronic medical record (EMR) using ICD-10 coding principles. Ensures diagnosis codes meet optimum specificity standards, are sequenced in a manner that supports the care provided to the patient, and conforms to coding conventions and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid (CMS) and other regulatory requirements. Completes this work in a manner that supports Health Information Management data integrity standards.Working in Home Health provides the unique opportunity to care for your patients where they are most comfortable. Required Qualifications:

2 years Experience in a team setting which may include 6 months experience in a clerical or general office setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

Coursework/Training Anatomy/Physiology and Medical Terminology.

upon hire: AAPC or AHIMA coding-related credential.

Experience using an electronic medical record (EMR), diagnosis coding software, or related application.
