The Corporate Director of IT Openings, Project Management and Innovation contributes advanced knowledge and skill in technology, project management, partner coordination and general hospitality business knowledge to support the openings of new build properties (hotels, residences, spas, and clubs) and transitions through the careful execution of technology (IT) objectives.This position reports directly to the EVP & CIO and is responsible for assisting the property-based IT representatives with technology implementation, coordination, and project management as assigned. In addition, this role will support other Corporate IT teams to successfully plan and execute the deployment of their respective solutions. The role provides support as part of our opening projects with defined processes across the global portfolio of new developments for Montage International. The position is responsible for ensuring all technology is installed to Montage and Pendry required standards and to implement and maintain security and compliance ensuring successful handover to the IT Operations teams.This role will be responsible for establishing a Project Management Office within the Montage International IT department which will develop and govern the processes, methodologies and tools for all new build, transition, and renovation projects in addition to wider ranging technology related initiatives.Working across departments, this role will identify appropriate and meaningful ways to leverage fresh solutions to improve safety, security, guest experiences, associate experiences and overall operational efficiency and excellence.Essential Functions

Plan, manage and document all technology deployed for hotel and residential openings in compliance with Montage International’s policies and standards.

Make recommendations on project management practices and processes in line with established standard business operating procedures.

Assume responsibility for the organization and processing of work-related travel, expense processing, and any other personal admin tasks related to the role.

Function as the partner liaison for all technology vendors providing support and services in new openings.

Coordinate with General Contractors and relevant subcontractors to ensure integration of systems provided in IT OS&E scope.

Establish strong working relationships and partnership with owners, developers, architects, other consultants, and all stakeholders for new build projects.

Manage and enhance project management tool sets to improve collaboration and awareness.

Attend all required project review and coordination meetings in addition to participating in internal collaborative sessions.

Work closely with the creative, design and business development internal teams to ensure technology brand standards are maintained, documented, and appropriately communicated.

Ensure implementation of company IT brand guidelines, internal controls, compliance, and systems are established at each new property/transition.

Ability to perform other duties as required.

Education & Experience

Associate degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Information Systems or related field required.

12+ years of progressive relevant work experience and a minimum of 7 years in hospitality technology.

Successfully executed and managed more than 10 luxury hotel openings from an IT perspective over the last 5 years.

Required Skills / Abilities

Strong project management skills, ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.

Ability to influence without formal authority.

Strong relationship builder and network in the hospitality vendor community.

Demonstrate advanced technology budget development and management skills.

Experience in developing and / or reviewing passive infrastructure technical drawings (e.g., low voltage cabling and associated elements) and interacting with architects and other consultants (e.g., MEP).

Broad experience with networking, communications, data and cybersecurity, physical security systems, Audio Visual systems, guest room and residential technologies and common hospitality applications.

Must be capable of delivering results and demonstrate balanced judgment under pressure.

Proven ability to lead with an analytical approach to problem solving, using data as the foundation of decision making.

Ability to travel 60% of the time.
