Specializing in Communications, you will focus on internal engagement and public relations to promote our brand and reputation across a wide range of audiences including clients, recruits, employees, media, and other key stakeholders.The opportunityYou will oversee the strategy and execution of external and internal communication programs for our Financial Services Organization (FSO), a practice comprised of 14,000 people in ninety geographies and US $7b in revenue across four service lines (Audit, Tax, Consulting and Strategy and Transactions). You will lead a dynamic, sector communications team whose goals internally are to convey critically important content and information to our people, while inspiring them through our purpose of Building a Better Working World. Externally, you will oversee a media relations function that positions our industry-leading SMEs in earned media on topics of most relevant to the markets we serve in financial services. You will also work in close coordination with our Americas and Global EY Organization to ensure alignment, consistency of messaging and sharing of resources.Your key responsibilities

Internal and external communication aligned with the Industry Group Leader and core leadership team; teams across service line and sub-sectors (Banking & Capital Markets, Insurance and Wealth and Asset Management).

Develop and execute communication strategy that both informs and inspires our people while driving desired behaviors and business outcomes.

Oversee earned and social media efforts that maximize ROI on marketing investments and capitalize on trends specific to the financial services arena.

Provides development, training and coaching of team members.

Ability to advise, influence and share valuable insights on the optimal mix of communications in key leadership meetings.

Adept at managing and developing a team of communications professionals.

Able to leverage extensive , and deep insight to advise on the optimal use of internal communications to positively impact the business.

Ability to explore innovative uses of technology to achieve goals and stay at the forefront of best-in-class communications practice .

Ability to rapidly engage in crisis communications, adhering to firm strategy and guidelines.

Adept at assuming leadership role for large projects, including webcasts, videos and presentations.

To qualify for the role, you must have

Minimum of 12-15 years’ experience in managing strategic communications, preferably within a professional services firm.

Bachelor’s degree in communications or similar area or equivalent work experience. Advanced degree highly desirable.

Strong communication (written and verbal) skills, independent thinking abilities.

Knowledge about current corporate communication practices and technology channels

Must be willing to travel to New York City regularly in the first 6 months to build relationships with FS leadership team, and typically thereafter 1-3 times per month (including potential for multiple days at once) depending on leadership meetings, etc. Must also be willing to travel to other FS hub locations.

The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $174,500 to $336,000. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $209,500 to $381,800. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
