The Director of Technical Solutions will partner with Software Development, Marketing, and Sales to architect and deliver enterprise solutions, and build and sustain relationships with customers and prospects.

The incumbent will provide customer insights to our internal teams and will work with engineering to implement innovative technical solutions that leverage the data that our products generate to meet our customers’ needs.

The incumbent will also work with Marketing and Sales to create appropriate messaging for new technical solutions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

Sales / customer facing position.

Conduct on-site and on-line meetings to support the sales team in customer presentations.

Works closely with customers to identify unmet needs and solutions.

Collaborates with the customer’s business and IT subject matter experts including the CIO during the sales process to identify business processes, develop businesses and technical requirements and understand functional / technical constraints.

Translates customers suggestions into actionable feedback for engineering teams.

Works closely with sales, marketing, and engineering teams to anticipate and address customer needs.

Utilizes customer feedback and data to help inform decisions about how we communicate to our users, what products or services to provide for them and when to provide it.

Combines technical expertise and consulting skills to evaluate and develop technical solutions for customers.

Leads the account planning process at existing and prospective customers by identifying new or follow-on opportunities.

Works in concert with the Sales Team to present and articulate strengths, features, benefits, values and competitive advantages of company’s products and services.

Leads and / or oversees technical discovery, business justification, solution mapping, demo and evaluation of customer’s requirements.

Prepares and delivers value-based software demonstrations in support of sales cycles. Presentation includes personalization of materials to ensure delivery of a simple appealing and compelling customer presentation.

Leads and influences internal and external resources to a stated objective without formal lines of authority.

Contributes to the development and achievement of organizational goals and objectives.

Ensures that all documentation and drawings of technical data for quoting purposes, including an accurate scope of work, is in compliance with company policies and procedures.

Works effectively with cross-functional and / or global teams, readily shares information with others.

Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education / Certification : Bachelor’s Degree preferred, 5+ years of related work experience required. Experience in Healthcare / IT Technologies.

Required Knowledge :

Proven ability to build and develop business relationships

Proven track record of providing excellent customer service

Extensive client account and project management experience with demonstrated ability to plan and manage the execution of custom development projects and complex client engagements.

Strong local network of IT and business executives and business acumen across a variety of functions within the hospital environment.

Possesses strong product / technology / industry knowledge.

TRAVEL : 80%

SPEAKING : Able to speak and present information in front of groups

PHYSICAL : Ability to sit or remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time. Repetitive use of arms / hands / fingers for computer work such as typing and writing.

Ability to carry and move up to 5 to 10 pounds of electronic equipment (i.e., mobile computer units and medical device products)

As a requirement for this position, you may be required to go onsite to a medical facility. At that time you must complete the vendor credentialing process at the expense of Nihon Kohden which requires lab tests providing proof of immunity to common childhood illness (Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B and Varicella) as well as have a current TB certificate and Flu shot.

All field-based employees are expected to complete this lab work prior to visiting a medical facility.
