We are seeking highly-motivated engineers to join our team. The successful candidate will focus on the engineering and development of complex business requirements. This is a direct-hire FT position with our client.

Salary - Base salary plus 20% bonus and benefits for Jr. R & D Catheter Engineer.
Primary Job Function:
Responsible for providing engineering support in the creation and development of new medical device products.
Core Job Responsibilities:
1. Research, develops, design, and evaluates mechanical and electro-mechanical materials, components, assemblies, processes, and/or equipment.
2. Conducts feasibility studies to verify capability and functionality.
3. Develops new concepts from initial design to market release.
4. Directs support personnel and coordinates project activities.
5. Write and submit intellectual property (patents).
6. Maintains detailed documentation throughout all phases of research and development.
7. Investigates and evaluates existing technologies.
8. Reviews or coordinates vendor activities to support development.
Supervision Received:
Works under general supervision. Follows established procedures. Work is reviewed for soundness of technical judgment, overall adequacy, and accuracy.
Supervision Provided:
May provide limited work direction and guidance to exempt and/or skilled nonexempt levels of employees, may be asked to evaluate the performance of and assist in career development planning for subordinates.
Position Accountability/Scope:
Influence/Leadership: Cultivates a wide range of internal networks and begins to develop an extensive external network of resources to facilitate the completion of tasks. May lead a project team of moderate scope. Provides guidance to less experienced staff. Acts as a mentor to lower-level individual contributors. The influence exerted at the peer level and occasionally at the first levels of management.
Planning/Organization: Plans, organizes, and prioritizes own daily work routine to meet the established schedule.
Decision Making/Impact: Exercises authority and judgment within defined limits to determine appropriate action. Failure to achieve results or erroneous decisions or recommendations may cause delays in program schedules and may result in the allocation of additional resources.
Minimum Education:
Bachelor of Science degree (BS) in a relevant engineering field plus 2-10 years of related work experience with a good understanding of the specified functional area, or a Master's degree with 0-7 years related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Minimum Experience/Training Required:
Technical/Business Knowledge: Working technical knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures. General understanding of business unit/group function. Will perform this job in a quality system environment. Failure to adequately perform tasks can result in noncompliance with governmental regulations.
Cognitive Skills: Works on problems of moderate scope, where analysis of situations or data requires a review of identifiable factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Has a broad knowledge of technical alternatives and an understanding of their impact on the systems environment.
