HIRING Medical Device AssemblerJob DescriptionThis position is responsible for the production of high-quality medical devices within a manufacturing cell. The role primarily involves working on a microscope for 95% of the time. Under close supervision, you will perform a combination of assembly, repair, and test operations on pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs), leads, and related medical device assemblies. You will ensure that job documentation for cell operations and functions is accurate and up to date, and communicate ideas, problems, and solutions effectively to all levels of manufacturing management. Maintaining a positive attitude when interacting with both internal and external customers is essential, as is following safety guidelines and participating in continuous improvement initiatives.Responsibilities

Perform assembly, repair, and test operations on medical devices using a microscope.

Ensure job documentation for cell operations and functions is accurate and up to date.

Communicate ideas, problems, and solutions to manufacturing management in written and oral form.

Maintain a positive attitude when interacting with internal and external customers.

Follow safety guidelines and utilize appropriate safety devices during operations.

Participate in continuous improvement and quality initiatives to enhance production processes.

Maintain accurate records to ensure parts are traceable and quality issues can be addressed.

Demonstrate a basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing.

Collaborate with the Manufacturing Supervisor/Manager to set and monitor individual and cell performance goals.

Support Divisional initiatives related to Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Environmental Management Systems (EMS).

Essential Skills

Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written procedures.

Understanding of and ability to utilize electronic data collection systems and computer software packages.

Ability to prioritize work effectively.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.

Required dress code includes non-shedding, clean clothing with no frayed hems or loose threads. Tassels, glitter, and similar items are not allowed. All clothing from the waist up must fit under a lab coat or gown. Specific requirements for shoes and head coverings are in place to maintain a contamination-free environment. Changing shoes in the production area, other than a gowning room, is not allowed. Nail polish, acrylic nails, or similar coatings are not permitted.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irvine, California.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.75Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
