Our assistant teachers play a key role in supporting teachers and classrooms, helping children feel safe, cared for, and ready to learn.We’re looking for warm, dependable Preschool Assistant Teacher to join our team and partner with teachers in creating a strong foundation for children - spiritually, emotionally, socially, and academically.What You’ll Do
As a Preschool Assistant Teacher at MCP, you’ll:Support the teacher in creating a nurturing, Christ-centered classroom where children feel loved, safe, and encouraged to grow.Assist in implementing engaging, age-appropriate activities and daily routines.Provide hands-on support with classroom set-up, clean-up, and maintaining a safe, organized environment.Supervise children during play, snack, rest, and transition times, ensuring safety and positive interactions.Build caring, supportive relationships with children, parents, and staff.Model Christ-like behavior and share the love of Jesus in age-appropriate ways.Assist with child assessments, record keeping, and preparation of learning materials as directed by the teacher.Work collaboratively with your co-teachers and the MCP team to provide high-quality care and learning experiences.Participate in staff meetings, training, and school events as needed.
