Manage subordinate team members and oversee the work of assigned corporate accounting team/functions (i.e. AP, T&E, General Accounting).

Coordinate training for new staff and identifies training needs for current staff.

Plan and direct corporate accounting project activities with the accountability for successful completion of all project deliverables to the business within established schedule, scope and quality objectives.

Identify risk, develop mitigation strategies, alternative solutions, critical path, resolve issues, action item follow up, etc. in collaboration with project managers, business partners, etc.

Identify opportunities and lead the implementation of changes to drive improvements.

Global lead/SME for providing US GAAP accounting guidance and JDE support to business unit and regional finance teams on appropriate accounting areas, in accordance with GAAP and company policy.

Take a lead role in the maintenance of Sarbanes Oxley cycle narratives within area of responsibility and accurately present key controls within each narrative and ensure all SOX key controls are appropriately completed within area of responsibility.

Serve as an escalation point and provide technical expertise and resolutions to global finance partners and subordinate team members.

Interface with external auditors and vendors to respond to questions.

What you'll need (Required):

Bachelor's Degree in in Accounting or Finance related field

Previous work related experience

Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

Previous people management experience

What else we look for (Preferred):

Big 4 public accounting firm or Tier 2 public accounting experience

Experience working in a large manufacturing company

Proven expertise in MS Office Suite, including advanced Excel, database tools (e.g., Tableau), financial systems, and ERP systems (e.g., Oracle Fusion and/or OneStream experience is a plus)

Excellent communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives.
