Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Account Manager in Long Beach, California. Operating within the service department, the selected candidate will be instrumental in streamlining operational processes, managing customer accounts, and maintaining excellent client relations. This role is ideally suited to someone with strong administrative and operational skills, ready to embark on a long-term commitment.Responsibilities: Oversee the accurate and timely closing of technician work orders. Assist the purchasing department by ensuring the correct charge of parts to dispatched work orders, proper return of inventory from cancelled work orders, and accurate receipt of purchase orders. Develop and maintain comprehensive workflows for all service and purchasing processes. Collaborate in the creation of the annual service department budget. Identify jobs that do not meet profitability guidelines and present them to the Service Manager. Facilitate the opening of new clients, client sites, and jobs, ensuring correct data line setup for all new equipment. Manage contracts with outside suppliers as necessary. Handle scheduling for Technician Training and Safety Meetings, assisting with certification testing for technicians. Ensure compliance with all regulatory reporting requirements, including DOT and hazmat among others. Perform other administrative duties as requested by the Service Manager, including daily email management and note-taking in the company CRM. Foster teamwork within the service department to provide overall administrative support. Requirements A minimum of 2 years of experience in an Account Manager role or a similar position. Proven skills in Administrative Assistance. Demonstrable experience in Operational Auditing. Proficiency in Monthly Reporting, including Financial and Operational Reporting. Strong experience in Client Relations, with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Proficient in using various software applications related to the job. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
