Description We are offering a contract for a proficient Accounts Payable Specialist in Long Beach, California. This role is primarily within the finance industry, where you will be instrumental in controlling expenses, reconciling invoices, and maintaining accounts payable records. The workplace is a well-established and successful women's apparel company.Responsibilities: Accurately process day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts payable data using appropriate G/L coding. Provide insightful analysis of invoice/payment data to assist management in decision-making. Ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted by reconciling the accounts payable ledger. Execute administrative and clerical duties related to accounts payable, such as mailing checks, filing paid invoices/backup, setting up files, and preparing boxes for storage. Generate detailed reports on accounts payable and account status. Regularly monitor Accounts Payable email inboxes/mailboxes, handling invoices and any related inquiries or questions. Maintain vendor accounts, verify discrepancies, and resolve any billing issues that arise with vendors. Ensure timely payment of due invoices. Take on other related duties as assigned or dictated by the situation. Requirements Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounts Payable Specialist role or similar Demonstrated proficiency in Account Coding Experience with various Accounting Software Systems Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services is required Must have hands-on experience with Concur Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is necessary Proven ability to handle various Accounting Functions Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) Understanding of Accrual Accounting principles Experience with Auditing procedures Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
