In support of this goal, C-17 Structures Design, Analysis, Loads is looking for motivated individuals to join the team to support of the Aircraft Structural Integrity Program. This requisition is for a Loads, Dynamics, and Tracking Program Engineer. Duties will include: Provide definition and requirements related to external loads, shock, and vibration, develop and correlate load spectra, supervise and perform Individual Aircraft Tracking Program tasks such as collecting and processing flight data recorder data and reporting on aircraft usage severity. Occasional travel to interface with customers will be required.Position Responsibilities:
Conducts external loads analyses for C-17 air vehicle
Utilizes mathematical models, analyzes and reports results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications
Conducts predictive analyses for static and dynamic forces that act on a vehicle
Supports the integration of structural, inertial, aerodynamic and systems definition for analyses
Participates in defining and documenting certification and test results to ensure compliance with regulations, system design specifications
Supports failure investigations of in-service products and analyzes improvements
This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering
3 or more years' experience aircraft structural design or analysis engineering
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Level 4: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
aircraft operation, derivation of loads, authoring technical reports, aircraft repair and maintenance practices
Typical Education & Experience:Mid-Level (Level 3):Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Senior (Level 4):Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience).
