Valid CA Guard Card

Valid CA Driver License with clean driving history

at least 5 years of security/healthcare experience

21 years of Age & Over

Military Uniform standards : Clean Cut/Shaven, No exposed Tattoos or Piercings

Background Check Required

Adequate with the use of technology while onsite

Excellent customer service & communication skills

Yearly vaccinations required including COVID 19 Vaccine with Booster

Job Duties:

Morgue Control (admitting, releasing, and auditing patients)

Access Control with the use of computers

Perform physical staff assist or psych holds

Greeting visitors and staff, Mask Enforcement

Assigned to the emergency department full time.

Will have more frequent "hands on" situations.

Extremely busy emergency room seeing over 300 patients a day

Lots of human interactions and de-escalation.

Operates a walk-through weapons detection system and uses metal detector wands as needed.

Responds to trauma runs - interacts with Police and Fire daily.

Psych Watches - 1:1 sitter for psych patients that have behavioral issues / high risk for elopement.

Will receive handcuff training.

As a Emergency Department Specialist you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, Healthcare, Education, Government and more. An Emergency Department Specialist (EDS) provides continuous and uninterrupted observation of patients who have been identified by licensed hospital staff to have behavioral health challenges and need to be observed for patient and staff safety. The EDS is responsible for responding to all emergencies and ensuring a safe environment of care for patients, hospital staff, and fellow officers.Responsibilities:

Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner

Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Provide continual observation of behavioral health patients

Minimum Requirements:

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience

Post offer, must be able to successfully complete the training requirement and obtain a Management of Assaultive Behavior certification as complete Advanced Emergency Department training

Prior work experience involving dealing with customers, troubleshooting, and/or managing stressful situations

Excellent oral and written communication skills; able to write informatively, clearly, and accurately

Must be able to work independently with little to no direct supervision

Strong organizational and decision-making skills; must be able to assess and evaluate situations effectively
