Regional Pipeline owner and operator that provides of crude oil transportation and storage services in California is seeking a Project Engineer to join their team. The project Engineer will play a key role within the Engineering and Regulatory Compliance team, collaborating closely with the land & ROW Department. The position will focus on reviewing developer and utility company drawings to identify and resolve conflicts with Crimson Pipeline Assets, ensuring the operations remain safe, reliable and compliant with all applicable regulations. This position will also oversee project direct and objectives for engineering initiatives, coordinating with contractors and engineering staff to monitor, adjust, close out, and evaluate project. Responsibilities:
Review alignments sheets, developer drawings, and P&ID's to identify conflicts with Pipeline assets.
Develop Innovative solutions for conflicts and perform wheel load analysis as needed.
Create cost estimates and scope of work for Utility agreements and Reimbursements Agreements.
Develop Authorization for Expenditures (AFE) and manage projects execution from inception thru completion.
Provide Project Engineering direction and technical support to Operations and Maintenance teams.
Ensure design and construction processes adhere to company engineering standards and DOT regulations.
Establish Project objectives, including work breakdown structures and schedules.
Oversee project execution plans and manage capital, expense, and reimbursable budgets related to projects.
Communicate project updates to engineering management, and key stakeholders.
Coordinate Engineering and construction activities with consultants, contractors, and maintenance teams.
Administer project documentation policies effectively.
Monitor Financial activities with project scope and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
Assist in developing new engineering standards, technical guidelines and specifications.
Engage with regulatory agencies, consultants, and customers as necessary.
Prepare documents for tendering, contracts, and purchase orders.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering
Must have 5+ years of technical experience in engineering, maintenance or operations of oil & gas pipelines.
Knowledge of Pipeline Operations and DOT regulations (specifically CFR Part 195)
Additional Information:
Compensation: $120,000 to $150,000 per year
Worksite: Mostly remote but willing to come to the office 1-4 times a month.
