Description We are looking for a talented REMOTE Systems Engineer within California or Texas who will play a vital role in maintaining and optimizing our Windows Server infrastructure. The ideal Systems Engineer candidate will have a strong background in Windows server administration, Active Directory management, vulnerability remediation, and system hardening. This individual will collaborate closely with our IT team to ensure the reliability, security, and performance of our systems as we continue to innovate in the energy sector.Responsibilities:
Perform day-to-day administration and configuration of Active Directory domains, users, and groups
Manage and maintain VMware virtual infrastructure including host configurations, resource allocation, and upgrades
Deploy and configure Windows Server operating systems and services like DNS, file/print, etc.
Design and implement Group Policy objects for configuration management
Administer patch management systems like SCCM/Ivanti to deploy OS and application updates
Develop and run PowerShell scripts for automation and configuration changes
Assist with vulnerability remediation projects including system hardening through policy and configuration changes
Requirements
Requirements:
5+ years of experience administering Windows Server environments
Expert knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy
Experience with VMware virtualization platforms
Scripting skills using PowerShell
Understanding of information security best practices and patch management
Strong communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Experience working independently and collaborating remotely as part of a team
