Find your future with us.Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is hiring a Weight and Mass Properties Engineer (Associate or Experienced) to support Weights Engineering Team based in the Long Beach area of California.As a part of the Weights Engineering Team, you will have the opportunity to work on multiple commercial airplane models including derivatives, mods, and converted freighters. Our work scope encompasses Weights & Balance Manuals, Loading Schedules, Mass Properties, Service Bulletins, and Training to airplane operators. The position is primarily located in Long Beach, CA with on-site work in Victorville, CA on a rotational basis.Our team is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Associate and Experienced Weight and Mass Properties Engineers.Position Responsibilities:
Develops current and forecast weight, balance and mass properties data.
Participates in defining weight, balance and mass properties related design requirements.
Participates in developing customer specification commitments.
Provides routine vehicle or system configuration guidance.
Supports individual design team weight control efforts.
Estimates, calculates and measures and verifies mass, weight, stiffness and inertias of components, assemblies and completed vehicles or systems.
Participates in developing and maintaining weight, balance and mass properties accounting systems. Generates weight and balance reports.

Participates in developing and implementing new processes and tools.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's degree in engineering or higher.
1+ years of experience in support of aerospace products, including commercial or military airplane flight operations.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
3 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Typical Education/ Experience:Associate (Level-2)Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Experienced (Level-3)Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience).
