Analyze financial data detailing assets, liabilities, capital, income, and expenditures. Analyze business costs, revenues, and financial commitments to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice to company management. Direct activities of bookkeeper engaged in filing, recording, compiling and transmitting financial records of company. Develop and maintain budgets, preparing periodic reports comparing budgeted costs to actual costs. Establish table of accounts and assign entries to proper accounts. Review accounts for discrepancies and reconcile differences. Confer with company management about financial matters and financial status of company. Establish, modify, document, and coordinate implementation of accounting control procedures. Examine inventory to verify journal and ledger entries. Prepare, examine and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards. Examine and evaluate financial and information systems, recommending controls to ensure system reliability and data integrity. Inspect account books and accounting systems for efficiency, and use of accepted accounting procedures to record transactions.
