Assistant Manager, Accounts Receivable & Collections
A large distribution company in Vernon, CA, is looking for an aggressive and organized professional with excellent communications skills to work in our Accounts Receivable Department.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Role and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Develops and implements policies and procedures to improve effectiveness of AR operations
Assist in administrative duties such as answering phone calls and responds to email correspondence
Works closely with colleagues on A/R collections and management
Contributes and manages accounts receivable and credit management
Manages a large pool of delinquencies
Communicates with A/R accounts to manage their payments and outstanding amounts due
Send out collection letters and is also expected to make 25-50 collection calls per day
Document client account to ensure that all steps are taken to resolve any outstanding balances
Investigates historical data for each payment of bill
Analyze cash receipt, payment applications, and account reconciliation
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in credit management and credit related decisions
Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience
Ability to multi-task while maintaining a high level of efficiency
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Excellent computer, data entry, internet and Microsoft Office skills
Skills to handle high-pressure situations
Organized, customer-focused, pro-active, professional, dependable, and self-motivated
High school education (required) and college education (preferred)
Microsoft Excel: 1 year (Preferred)
Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
SCHEDULE:
Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm
COMPENSATION:
$21.00-$23.00 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
BENEFITS: Health insurance, paid vacation time, and paid sick leave
