Job Title: Senior AccountantLocation: OxnardDepartment: AccountingReports to: Accounting Manager/ControllerEmployment Type: Full-timeJob Summary:Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their growing team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing and overseeing the general accounting functions, including performing monthly, quarterly, and yearly closings, developing financial reports, ensuring accuracy in financial documentation, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory guidelines.Key Responsibilities:Oversee and manage the general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliationsPrepare, analyze, and present financial statements and reports for management and external stakeholdersEnsure accuracy and compliance with financial policies, GAAP, and regulatory requirementsConduct variance analysis, identify trends, and recommend improvements in financial processesLead the month-end and year-end closing processesAssist with budgeting, forecasting, and tax filing preparationsCoordinate and collaborate with internal and external auditorsMentor junior accounting staff and support their professional developmentWork closely with cross-functional teams to ensure financial accuracy and compliance in business operationsHandle ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects as requiredQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldCPA, CMA, or equivalent certification strongly preferredMinimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior accountant or supervisory roleStrong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting standards, and accounting principlesProficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, etc.) and advanced Microsoft Excel skillsExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsAttention to detail and ability to work with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environmentExperience with financial audits and compliance requirementsAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
