The Office of The State Controller is responsible for holding unclaimed financial property. Unclaimed Property Investigators locate these funds and the people or business with whom they belong to, as a reward the State Controller offers 10% of the property amount located to the investigator. Investigators locate $10,000 they get $1000 reward.
