We are currently in search of compassionate part-time Behavior Therapists to join our team. This role entails working with children who have special needs, and delivering therapeutic support and assistance to them directly within the comfort of their own homes. Following the completion of the initial training period, the starting pay for this position is $22.00 per hour. You will also be eligible for a $200 Hiring Incentive once you begin your employment with us. We offer ongoing training, as well as compensation for mileage and travel time between clients.
At Creative Behavioral Consultants, Inc., we employ the therapeutic method called ABA to assist children with autism. This approach is commonly employed with individuals who have developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder. Our commitment lies in utilizing ABA techniques to foster positive development and strengthen family bonds, ultimately benefiting everyone involved.
Responsibilities Include:
Assisting clients in developing healthier thought patterns and behaviors
Analyzing the behavioral patterns of clients
Suggesting activities that assist clients in cultivating the necessary skills and coping mechanisms essential for managing their emotions
Recording detailed observation notes for every client
Collaborating with families to obtain feedback on client's progress
Providing education to parents on utilizing play as a means to improve communication challenges
Succeeding as a behavior therapist requires having high levels of compassion, kindness, patience, positive energy and understanding when dealing with clients. Above all, an exceptional behavior therapist should master the art of effective communication with their clients to establish trust and accurately evaluate their progress.
