Job Title: Assistant Superintendent / APM (On-Site)
Location: Mammoth Lakes, CA (Relocation Required)
Project Duration: 2 Years (with opportunity for extension on future Mammoth projects)
About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated Assistant Superintendent / Project Engineer to join our team on a high-end condominium development in Mammoth Lakes, CA, which will also feature a restaurant and spa. This is a full-time, site-based position requiring relocation for approximately 24 months, with potential to continue working on additional Mammoth projects after successful completion. The role will work closely with the on-site Superintendent under the direction of the Project Management Team, providing support for both field coordination and project documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist Superintendent with daily site coordination and field operations across all trades
Review and understand plans, drawings, and specifications to ensure alignment with project requirements
Prepare, track, and process RFIs and Submittals using Procore
Support scheduling of subcontractors and monitor progress to help maintain schedule and quality standards
Track subcontractor compliance, safety documentation, and insurance requirements
Assist with safety inspections and site compliance reporting
Maintain organized project records and documentation in alignment with project specifications
Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for subcontractors and vendors, supporting smooth workflow and issue resolution
Qualifications:
10+ years of construction field experience in multifamily, commercial, or hospitality projects (Assistant Superintendent or
Project Engineer role preferred)
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred but not required)
Proficiency in Procore required; experience with Bluebeam and MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) strongly preferred
Strong ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
Excellent organizational and communication skills with attention to detail
Ability to multitask and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
