A Los Angeles area-based architectural design firm is looking for a talented and dedicated individual to join our team in the full-time position described below.
ARCHITECTURAL DRAFTER/DESIGNER
The Architectural Drafter/Designer will work closely with team leaders to assist in the design and production of construction documents. A partial description of what is needed is listed in this advertisement.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist Project Manager(s) and Project Captains(s) in the development and production of construction documents for entitlement, bidding, and construction.
Maintain Revit/CAD Library.
QUALIFICATIONS
This individual should be a graduate from an accredited Architecture program, attained the appropriate certifications; and possess a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in an Architectural environment focusing on commercial, retail, industrial, mixed use, residential multi-family, and hospitality.
Non-technical skills
Requires working knowledge of architectural and/or interior Architecture graphics standards, materials, and methods as well as a demonstrated proficiency in sketching, rendering, and presentation boards.
Must be organized and detail oriented; able to work in a pro-active environment and meet deadlines.
Good verbal and written communications skills, and the ability to work effectively and efficiently as part of a collaborative team, are a strong advantage.
Technical skills
Proficiency in Revit/AutoCAD 2019 (or later) is required; a working knowledge of 3D applications like Trimble’s SketchUp and Lumion are a plus.
Working experience with Adobe Suite applications; Acrobat (essential) and Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign (plus).
Working experience with Microsoft Windows-based (7 or later) operating platforms is essential.
Working experience with Microsoft O365 (2016 or later) applications such as Outlook, Word, and Excel, is essential.
