Afternoon Family Assistant for a Family – Hancock Park
Salary: Up to $35 an hour take-home
Hours: 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM (with potential for additional weekend hours)
A busy and accomplished mom/family of three is seeking a proactive, dynamic, and highly organized Family Assistant to help manage her children’s after-school routines and activities. The role involves caring for and coordinating the needs of three children, ages 7, 10, and 14. The ideal person will be engaged with the kids, throw a ball, play games etc. when there is time.
Key Responsibilities:
School Pick-ups: Safely pick up the children from school and transport them to various after-school activities, sports practices, or playdates.
Activity Coordination: Ensure the children are on time and prepared for their scheduled activities, including homework, extracurriculars, and social engagements.
Errands: When time permits, assist with running household errands such as grocery shopping, picking up dry cleaning, or other tasks as needed.
Schedule Management: Monitor and manage the children's schedules, ensuring they are balanced and organized to meet all commitments.
Homework Assistance: Provide support with school assignments, ensuring they are completed on time and to a high standard.
Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with the children’s mother, updating her on the day's events, progress, and any issues that may arise.
Additional Support: Be flexible and open to assisting on some weekends if additional help is needed.
Requirements:
Prior experience working with children, particularly in managing busy schedules and multiple commitments.
A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
A warm, caring, and patient demeanor with a genuine interest in the well-being of children.
Flexibility to accommodate the family’s needs, including occasional weekend hours.
