One of our entertainment clients in Los Angeles area is looking for a Business/Project Analyst with the following skills and experience:
Must haves: 1) Power BI 2) Data consolidation or DataLakes (using Databricks application) 3) Experience with development ticket systems such as Jira or Sysaid
Basic Qualifications An ideal candidate has experience working at a studio or on a production; this role will work directly with studio personnel and production crew and must be able to keep pace with the productions and all of their technology needs. To be successful in this role, experience managing a diverse portfolio of applications that are heterogeneous in nature is necessary, for example: 3rd party vendor apps, in-house apps, financial systems, workflow management software, reporting platforms, artificial intelligence, and proof of concepts as well as mature applications. Strong written and verbal skills plus the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences at all experience levels is essential. The ability to present complex processes and abstract ideas in meaningful visual representations is important in this position. Strong project management skills, resource and timeline management, risk assessment, and the ability to work with external contractors and consultants is core to performing well this role.
7+ yrs of experience performing business analysis within a large enterprise covering both business and information technology domains 5+ years of Product Ownership experience 3+ yrs of experience using Agile SCRUM methodology Strong problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of Film production preferred Certified Agile Product Owner a plus
Key Responsibilities:
Will be responsible for new software that has already been developed and will manage and develop it for studio teams
Important skills to have:
Will need to know how to do business analyst diagrams. standard UML, architecture diagrams-must be familiar with application layers,
Basic reporting Racis, standard dash boarding-analyze risks, blockers
Must be able to roadmap future development.
Lots of visualization
Must be good at communicating at multiple levels (interacting with developers, studio people)
Must be able to do documentation for training
Responsibilities The Sr. BA, Product Development will develop a productive partnership with business stakeholders at all levels and support the Manager, Product Owner to guide product development toward delivery of integrated, efficient, and intuitive business systems. Position Summary: The Sr. BA must have experience designing, implementing and supporting applications and services. He or she will bring that experience to bear, as well as build a deep understanding of current and future technologies associated with the Studio businesses they support; they will be seen as an expert by Studio Technology and business partners alike. He or she will identify current and future business needs and determine how best to meet those needs. This includes working with the business and the technology teams to gather requirements for new solutions, working with specialists to define intuitive solutions, understanding business processes, and systems and staying abreast of current trends in the marketplace.
Primary Responsibilities:
Liaise business requirements from stakeholders to all necessary parties
Act as the primary point of contact for the development and maintenance of 3rd party vendor software Define requirements, maintain the backlog, approve functional releases based on UAT performed in staging environments and manage relationships with vendors
In close partnership with the Manager and business stakeholders, develop the product vision and product roadmap
Define and measure KPIs that support project business case(s) and recurring spend
Communicate all successes, opportunities and risks in formal communications
