DescriptionThe Santa Monica Hospital is seeking to hire a Per Diem Dietitian to join the Department of Nutrition. You will provide medical nutrition therapy to patients in specialized areas such as cardiology, med/surgery, GI, renal, organ transplant, liver disease, neurology, head/neck, oncology, and critical care. You will also work at Ronald Reagan in Westwood as needed but will be mostly stationed in Santa Monica. Responsibilities include:
Assessment, documentation, implementation, monitoring and reassessment of patients' nutrition care plan.
Conduct nutritional assessment, diet calculation, and the provision of medical nutrition therapy
Conduct patient education, malnutrition/NFPE.
Provide ongoing education to patient and/or family members
Chart in EPIC and use Computation
Please note this is a per diem position.Salary range: $45.98/hr - $53.63/hrQualificationsRequired:
Certification as Registered Dietitian by the Commission of Dietetic Registration.
At least one year of experience as a Registered Dietitian.
Excellent computer and customer service skills.
Strong knowledge in malnutrition diagnosing and NFPE
Availability to work weekends and holidays.
Ability to travel within Health System, including Santa Monica and Westwood.
Preferred:
Experience working in an academic setting.
