Description We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Grants and Contracts Specialist to join our team and support our fundraising efforts and contractual obligations. As a Grants and Contracts Specialist, you will play a crucial role in securing funding, managing grants, and ensuring compliance with grant requirements and contractual agreements.Responsibilities:
Grant Writing and Management:
Research and identify potential grant opportunities from government agencies, foundations, and other sources.
Prepare grant proposals, applications, and supporting documents in collaboration with program staff and leadership.
Manage the grant application and reporting process, including timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
Monitor grant funding and expenditures to ensure compliance with grant guidelines and objectives.
Develop and maintain relationships with grantors and stakeholders to enhance funding opportunities.
Contract Administration:
Review and negotiate contracts, agreements, and MOUs with funders, partners, and vendors.
Ensure compliance with contractual terms, reporting requirements, and performance metrics.
Coordinate with program managers and finance team to track contract deliverables and invoicing.
Provide guidance and support to staff on contract-related matters and best practices.
Compliance and Reporting:
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of grant regulations, compliance standards, and reporting guidelines.
Prepare and submit timely and accurate grant reports, financial statements, and programmatic updates.
Conduct internal audits and assessments to ensure adherence to grant and contract requirements.
Collaborate with external auditors and stakeholders for grant-related audits and evaluations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., nonprofit management, public administration, business).
Minimum of 3 years of experience in grant writing, grants management, and contract administration.
Strong understanding of grant funding mechanisms, compliance standards, and reporting procedures.
Excellent writing, communication, and analytical skills.
Proficiency in grant management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
Experience working with non-profit organizations and government grants is preferred.
