Hospital Patient Registration Representative

Description We are seeking a dynamic, compassionate, and detail-oriented Hospital Patient Registration Representative to be part of our administrative team. Your primary responsibility will be to assist patients by gathering necessary information for proper patient identification, medical records, and insurance verification. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys interacting with people in a caring medical environment. Hours: Monday-Friday 2PM-10:30PM.Job Responsibilities:

Accurately and promptly register patients and update Electronic Health Records.

Obtain all necessary patient demographics, insurance information and verify patient insurance eligibility.

Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and healthcare staff.

Explain hospital policies, procedures, patient rights, and responsibilities to patients and caregivers.

Ensure the confidentiality and security of all patient information in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.

Schedule patient’s appointments and procedures.

Collect co-pays, deductibles, and other balances due from patients.

Requirements

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Minimum of 1-year experience in a healthcare setting, preferably with patient registration or admissions.

Basic computer skills and proficiency with electronic health records systems.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently while paying attention to detail.

Knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations.

Ability to handle patient information confidentially.
