Description We are offering a 2 year part-time employment opportunity for a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator in the services industry, based in Los Angeles, California. Must be able to work 3 days a week from Tuesday-Sunday from 2 AM to 10 AM. Responsibilities: Manage and coordinate the movement of goods from origin to destination, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to schedules Communicate with carriers, shippers, and receivers on a daily basis to track shipments, resolve issues and provide status updates Schedule and manage appointments for pickups, deliveries, and returns, including port and warehouse appointments Accurately and promptly enter shipment details, updates, and documentation into relevant software Verify and update billing information, including additional charges, while processing and uploading proof of delivery documents Act as a primary contact for resolving operational issues and discrepancies that arise during the shipping process Prepare daily and weekly performance reports to track key metrics and identify areas of improvement Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline operations, enhance service levels, and meet client expectations Use your skills in Business Systems, Cargowise, CRM, Enterprise Resource Planning, ERP Solutions, About Time, Billing Functions, Communication, Customer Service, and Customs to improve our logistics operations.Requirements Candidates must possess a thorough understanding of business systems, with a focus on logistics and supply chain management Proficiency in Cargowise is essential for efficient execution of tasks Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software is required for maintaining customer relations Candidates should be well-versed with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), specifically in the context of logistics coordination Knowledge and experience with ERP solutions, tailored to meet the unique demands of the logistics industry, is necessary Experience with 'About Time' project management software will be advantageous Ability to manage billing functions effectively, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing Excellent communication skills are required to facilitate smooth internal and external interactions Exceptional customer service skills are essential to maintain and enhance client relationships Understanding of customs regulations and processes is crucial for international logistics coordination.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
