THE ROLEThe Netflix Nonfiction Marketing team seeks a creative marketing leader with an expertise in sports to lead the day-to-day development and execution of consumer marketing campaigns for some of Netflix’s most exciting sports series. We are looking for an experienced professional who can bring sharp, sophisticated and bold thinking to the team while elevating executional excellence both internally (strategies, cross-functional collaboration) and externally (campaigns, creative assets, partnerships). You have worked on 360 campaigns, from strategy development to tactical execution (i.e. AV/trailers, digital/social, print/out-of-home and more).
You can conceptualize and articulate creative strategy and big ideas that people will rally around.
You understand how to tell a strategic, compelling and cohesive story across all platforms.

You have a strong passion for sport and have deep knowledge of all sports, and the entertainment landscape and media trends globally.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Work across a team of 360 creative marketing all-stars (a team that covers AV/trailers, digital/social, print/out-of-home and more) to success on a vast slate of sports documentary – from strategy development to creative execution through to production, and beyond as series develop into always-on brands.
Work in partnership with the Nonfiction leadership team to help shape business decisions and goals for the region as it relates to the sport vertical.
Leader of creative innovation for the sports audience and the content slate, leading a team responsible for single title campaigns and broader portfolio efforts.
Responsible for developing and applying a strategic framework for the sports team to ensure all projects and campaign goals ladder up to Netflix’s greater business goals.
Key contact amongst all cross functional teams including content, regional marketing, publicity, communications, creative marketing production, product, and editorial to optimize across team and ensure goals are being met.
Provide high level filmmaker & showrunner / talent management and support across the sports slate.
Shepherd overall scope, budget, and campaign resources for the department.
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
8-10+ years of experience in building strategic and creative consumer marketing campaigns, preferably at a streaming network or studio with a background in entertainment (TV, film, gaming), global lifestyle/sports brand (Nike, Coca-Cola, Apple, etc.) or creative/advertising agency.
Experience launching sports entertainment initiatives.
Experience building something from the ground up.
Key decision maker in a senior marketing role. Someone who is challenged and energized by changes and creating opportunities for the business.
Experience in always-on brand building.
Experience in activating new ideas/creating new opportunities across the business in service of an initiative, namely with key cross functional partners like brand partnerships, gaming, consumer products and ad sales.
Experience managing a high volume of campaign types in parallel, while collaborating with diverse, geographically-dispersed teams.
Native understanding of digital advertising (direct video, mobile, paid social, display, rich media, VOD) with strong grasp of marketing / social media analytics and how to apply data to test and optimize campaigns.
Strong interpersonal, creative, presentation, problem solving, negotiating, influencing, facilitation, organizational, prioritization, decision making, analytical and conflict resolution skills.
Experienced in agency/brand relationship building, capable of shaping productive long-term relations with external partners by providing continuous feedback.

The overall market range for roles in this area of Netflix is typically $175,000 - $445,000This market range is based on total compensation (vs. only base salary), which is in line with our compensation philosophy.
