About the Position

We are looking for a meticulous Materials Planner to join our Supply Chain team. This role is vital for ensuring the smooth movement of materials throughout our supply chain and involves close collaboration with various departments to maintain appropriate inventory levels and support installation and production timelines. This position presents an exciting chance to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our supply chain operations.

Responsibilities

- Actively monitor and manage optimized inventory levels, ensuring that stock is adequate to meet production and installation needs while minimizing excess and obsolete items.

- Proactively identify, communicate, and manage risks to minimize their potential impact on production schedules.

- Serve as the primary day-to-day liaison for suppliers regarding material forecasts and operational performance, ensuring orders are placed accurately and on time, tracking shipments, and promptly resolving or escalating any supply-related issues.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, procurement, logistics, and finance, to gather relevant data and insights for effective material planning and inventory optimization.

- Assist in supplier meetings and negotiations to ensure that material demands are fulfilled, address supplier concerns, and evaluate supplier performance alongside key stakeholders.

- Use data analysis tools to evaluate material usage trends, forecast future needs, proactively manage stock-out risks, and identify cost-saving opportunities and areas for operational improvement.

- Keep accurate and current records of material plans, purchase orders, inventory levels, and supplier information.

Qualifications

- Proven background in materials planning, demand forecasting, or inventory management, ideally within a manufacturing or distribution context involving direct-to-consumer products.

- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively both externally and within cross-functional teams, and proficiency in visual and presentation abilities.

- Excellent organizational, data analysis, and problem-solving skills, with acute attention to detail for effective issue resolution.

- Demonstrate determination and resilience in driving solutions to fruition, proactively tackling supply chain challenges, prioritizing customer needs, and ensuring positive outcomes.

- Experience with project management and familiarity with MRP software or a project management system.

- Willingness to travel to operational sites across the USA.
