Description Dynamic personal injury law firm is on the hunt for a PI Plaintiff Paralegal who is ready to hit the ground running on a contract/possible contract to hire basis. This is an amazing opportunity to work in a dog friendly office with an amazing team. Duties/Requirements:
Support 1 to 2 attorney (mainly one)
PI and Spanish preferred
Will consider a strong litigation skill set
E file state and federal
Propound and respond to written discovery
Assist with motion drafting
File and serve pleadings, motions, and discovery
Prepare deposition notices and subpoenas
Calendar all dates with the use of calendaring and case management software
Monitor statute of limitation dates for filing lawsuits and government claim deadlines
Ensure compliance with all pre-trial deadlines and requirements as set forth in the California Rules of Court, Code of Civil Procedure, and Local Rules for the Superior Courts
Prepare summons and complaints, statements of damages, applications for publication, guardian ad litem forms, etc.
Schedule depositions, court hearings, and other meetings
Assemble exhibits, prepare trial binders, witness books, and other trial documents
