The work will be challenging, but always rewarding.It’s Work That Matters.OverviewSchedule: 8:00am -5:00pmPurpose Statement/Position Summary: The Patient Services Representative II provides patient-families with a positive experience at CHLA by performing clerical tasks primarily associated with answering incoming calls, registration, and patient check-in/out procedures, collection of patient co-pay or deductibles, scheduling and verifying patient appointments. Completes financial clearance and authorization duties, serves as the administrative support for assigned providers. Works closely with assigned providers to ensure follow up care is completed. Assists with creation and review of divisional performance reports and metrics.Work Experience/Minimum Qualifications: One year experience in medical front office setting, 3+ years in medical office setting preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred. Excellent telephone manner and ability to deal effectively with the public. Demonstrates strong critical thinking and problem solving skills.Education/Licensure/Certifications: High school diploma or GED required.Pay Scale Information$38,272.00-$65,062.00CHLA values the contribution each Team Member brings to our organization. Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
