DescriptionThe Per Diem Research Nurse is a professional caregiver who assumesresponsibility for a group of patients and provides care to these patients viathe nursing process and other input from healthcare team members. In this role,you will support the objectives of the Clinical and Translational ResearchCenter (CTRC), serving as a research coordinator and assuming oversight ofclinical study operations. Under direct supervision of the Unit Director andAdministrative Manager, you will be responsible for the direct nursing care ofpatients utilizing the nursing process; development and application ofleadership, management, and communication concepts; teaching of patients andstaff; maintenance of professional standards.Salary Range: $91.84/HourlyQualificationsRequired:
Bachelor's of Science in Nursing
California Registered Nursing License/or CA IPRN.
CPR certification.
Skill in developing a plan of care including setting goals, monitoring and documenting progress
Ability to implement interventions that are pertinent to goals established in the plan of care/research protocol.
Ability to evaluate the effective of interventions toward the attainment of established goals and to recognize the need to reassess or reset goal parameters.
Ability to delegate tasks in a management style that is consistent with promoting leadership and teamwork
Knowledge base to provide education to patients, families, and other staff regarding clinical and patient care issues
Responsible for completing all study specific procedures according to the study protocol.
Captured pertinent data onto source documents (i.e. vital signs, adverse events, concomitant medications, etc.)
