Senior Project Development Manager AE

Duties:

Assists the Director of Architecture and Engineering in the development of project scope andcoordination of architectural planning, design, funding, and development of school facilities.

Plans and coordinates the execution of pre-construction activities associated with multiple schoolalteration and maintenance projects.

Provides functional direction over pre-construction project schedules, cost control, disputeresolution, and quality control for multiple projects and programs.

Reviews pre-construction project status to monitor schedule and budget variances relative tosubmitted schedules.

Assists in coordinating the pre-construction program activities and related work of those in otherDistrict branches and departments such as the Office of Environmental Health and Safety; RealEstate; Community Outreach; School Management Services/Master Planning and Demographics;Asset Management; Project Execution; Facilities Contracts; and Procurement

Resolves pre-construction project issues by resolving differences of opinion, conflicts in schedules,and disagreements over the most efficient approach to the plan and design of new schools.

Reviews, recommends, and implements program and project level policy and proceduralinnovations.

Coordinates with representatives from various government agencies to obtain timely action onsuccessive phases of project completion.

Assesses bid specifications for District need and probability of completion within the specifiedtimeline.

Makes presentations to Board Members, District administrators, and representatives of publicagencies.

Reviews and verifies submitted applications for payment and performs overall fiscal management ofmultiple design and construction projects.

Responsible for overseeing staff assignments and workload, supervises staff activities andevaluates performance.

Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum RequirementsRequired Experience:

Fifteen (15) years of full-time paid-professional experience managing the facilities design, or theplanning and coordination of capital projects that includes the overall design, contractadministration, cost estimating, and scheduling activities.

Five (5) years of experience with educational facilities, design, planning and construction.

Additional Preferred Experience:

Experience utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM)

Experience with LEED and/or Collaborative for High Performance Schools (CHPS) projects

Experience with the Division of the State Architect (DSA) construction/design processes

Experience with construction management

Required Education:

Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor’s degree in architecture,engineering or construction management.

Additional courses in Business Administration, Public Relations, Accounting, School Finance,Personnel Management, Educational Facilities Planning, and Communication are preferred.

Required Licenses and Certificates:

A valid Certificate of Registration as an Architect by the California State Architectural Board

Preferred Licenses and Certificates:

LEED Professional Accreditation

Salary dependent on education and experience.   • About this role:

  • The T4/T5 Modernization Assistant PM based out of Los Angeles, California, reports to the T4/T5 Modernization PM and is responsible for supporting the PM in managing the scope, schedule and operational interfaces of all design and construction-related activities for TDIP’s T4/T5 Modernization project. The Terminal 4/5 Modernization project is a Tenant Acquisition Delivery Method Project and includes the design and construction of a new T4.5 vertical circulation core, improvements to the gating configurations of T5 and a new T4 Headhouse with SSCP and T4 Concourse. This is all intended to improve the processing and connectivity of passengers transitioning through and between TBIT, T4 & T5 and to improve the guest experience and operational efficiencies in the concourse facilities. Project will also work closely with the LAWA led BHS makeup and distribution system.

  • Deal Strategy, Contracting, and Risk Support Senior Manager, Government & Public Services (GPS)

  • The Misc Projects Project Manager based out of Los Angeles, California shall report to the Airline Terminal Improvements Delivery Director or another more senior Project Manager, depending on the size of the project. They shall be ultimately responsible for managing the scope, schedule and operational interfaces of all design and construction-related activities for TDIP’s various enabling projects to support the major projects, or projects that need quick attention. These may include, but not be limited to: FIS upgrades, underground utility work, arrivals and departure level upgrades and other projects that may come up, especially as we get closer to the 2028 Summer Olympic Games.
