Staff Accountant

Description We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team in the real estate industry in Los Angeles, California. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity, focusing on in-house accounting functions, previously outsourced. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, including processing customer applications, maintaining accurate records, and resolving customer inquiries. Responsibilities: Process and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable effectively Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy Maintain and update the general ledger regularly Prepare and record journal entries as part of the accounting process Ensure timely completion of the month-end close process Utilize NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP, and Yardi for various accounting functions Monitor customer accounts and undertake appropriate actions as needed Handle customer inquiries related to their accounts and resolve them in a timely manner Ensure customer credit records are accurate and updated Carry out any other related accounting duties as assigned. Requirements Proven experience in performing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) tasks Proficiency in carrying out Bank Reconciliations Expertise in maintaining and managing General Ledger Skill in creating and recording Journal Entries Ability to perform Month End Close tasks accurately and timely Experience in using NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP, and Yardi Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team High level of accuracy and attention to detail Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
