The work will be challenging, but always rewarding.It’s Work That Matters.OverviewPurpose Statement/Position Summary: Literally Healing is accountable for providing patients and family members with free books, literacy resources, and distraction-based literacy events. This program support both in-patient and out-patients, community fairs, and other various staffing engagement. Maintaining long-term grant and donor relationships to ensure the financial stability and growth of the program. Fulfilling current program goals to meet immediate grant obligations. Successfully setting a strategic vision, roadmap, and goals for the program to continue supporting patients and families. Supporting the leadership transition for current staff and volunteers to ensure retention and wellbeing of team members. Will manage a wide range of relationships, which require different tactics and approaches. These include, donors, direct-reports, various foundation teams, clinicians, providers, and other hospital programs and leadership. When considering process improvement and program management, we not only want strong skills in these areas, but the ability to teach team members how to do it as well. The Supervisor is responsible for overall planning, implementation, evaluation, and administration of numerous programs within the department or area. Oversees staff. Can serve as Principal Investigator or co-PI in various grants and programs, reviews operations of programs, evaluation, reporting. Works across the hospital with other departments and programs for a broad range of strategic initiatives.Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience: 5 years’ leadership or program management experience, preferably in a healthcare or literacy environment. 1+ years’ experience managing teams. Experience in a library or book/literacy related program. Must have the ability to work collegially and collaboratively with diverse internal and external stakeholders. Experience with Health Literacy, program development, and working with children preferred. Donor / grant management, financial management, and events management experience highly preferred.Education/Licensure/Certification: Master’s Degree in a related field or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.Pay Scale InformationUSD $80,288.00 - USD $144,518.00CHLA values the contribution each Team Member brings to our organization. Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
